Terms of service
Last updated: 12 October 2026
These Terms of Service apply to your use of fourbuycartco.co.za and to purchases from The Fourbuy Cart Comp (PTY) Ltd, trading as Fourbuy Cart Co. (“we”, “us” or “our”). Please read them together with your written quotation, order confirmation and the product-specific warranty supplied for your purchase.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (“CPA”) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (“ECTA”), where applicable.

We are a member of the IDA (Independent Dealer Association of South Africa). You can view the IDA Code of Conduct and IDA contact details on its website.
2. Website use and product information
Our website presents golf carts, electric vehicles, accessories and related services. You must have legal capacity to enter into a purchase agreement, or act with the necessary consent or authority. Please provide accurate contact, billing and delivery information.
Product pages and colour selectors help you explore available models and options. Images may be illustrative, and colours can appear different on different screens. Confirm the model, colour, wheels, battery, seating, included equipment and optional accessories in your written quotation before ordering. This does not permit us to supply materially different goods without your agreement.
Published range, speed and performance figures depend on conditions such as load, terrain, driving style and battery condition. We will identify the specifications applicable to the unit you order. Suitability for public-road use, licensing or a particular estate must be checked for the specific vehicle and intended location; a product image or description alone is not confirmation of road approval.
3. Quotations, orders and allocation
A website enquiry or configurator selection does not itself confirm stock or secure a cart. Before you commit, we will confirm the proposed order details, price, availability and applicable terms in writing. You may review these details, correct errors and decide whether to proceed.
A 10% deposit is required to secure a cart for allocation. The deposit is calculated on the agreed cart purchase price and is credited towards that price. Allocation is confirmed in writing after receipt of the deposit and confirmation of availability. Any allocation or delivery estimate will be communicated as part of the order arrangements.
If the agreed cart becomes unavailable, we will contact you to discuss an alternative or a refund of the amount paid for that unavailable cart. We will not substitute another model, specification or materially different delivery arrangement without your agreement. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
Please retain your quotation, order confirmation, invoice and warranty documents. You may request a copy of your transaction records by contacting us, subject to applicable record-retention requirements. These terms can be saved or printed from your browser.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are stated in South African rand (ZAR), unless expressly stated otherwise. Your quotation or order confirmation will set out the cart price, selected accessories, applicable taxes and any separately agreed charges before you commit to the purchase. Our VAT registration number is pending; tax treatment and invoice details will be stated in accordance with applicable South African law.
Payment methods, payment instructions and the balance payable will be set out in your quotation or invoice. Carts will only be delivered once payment has been received in full. A payment notification or proof of payment alone does not establish that the funds have been received.
Website estimates and finance calculators do not constitute credit approval or a finance agreement. Any finance is subject to the relevant provider’s approval, disclosures and separate agreement. Changes to an accepted order or its price must be agreed with you or otherwise permitted by law.
5. Delivery and collection
Delivery charges and timing are agreed separately. We will confirm the delivery destination, delivery charge and estimated or agreed delivery date with you before finalising the delivery arrangement. Delivery is not included in the cart price unless expressly stated in your quotation.
Please provide accurate delivery details and tell us about access restrictions or special unloading requirements. If collection is arranged, we will confirm the collection arrangements with you.
If a delay arises, we will notify you and discuss the available options. An estimated date does not remove any right you have in relation to an agreed delivery date, non-delivery or cancellation under applicable law. Where the CPA applies, goods remain at our risk until you accept delivery, as provided by law.
You may inspect the cart on delivery. Please notify us promptly of damage, missing items or a mismatch with your order so that we can assist. Signing a delivery document does not waive rights relating to defects that were not reasonably apparent at delivery. See also our Shipping Policy.
6. Cancellations, deposits and returns
To request cancellation, a return or a refund, contact dave@fourbuy.co.za with your order details. The 10% allocation deposit is not automatically forfeited if you cancel. Any cancellation charge must be lawful and reasonable for the circumstances, and we will explain the basis of any proposed deduction.
Where section 17 of the CPA applies to an advance order, cancellation charges must take account of the relevant statutory factors, including the notice given and the reasonable prospect of finding another buyer. No cancellation charge will be imposed where the law prohibits one. Special-order or personalised goods may be treated differently under applicable law; any relevant conditions will be explained before you place that order.
Where section 44 of ECTA applies to an electronic purchase of goods, you may cancel without giving a reason and without a penalty within seven days after receiving the goods. Only the direct cost of returning the goods may be charged for that cancellation, and payments must be refunded within 30 days of cancellation. Statutory exceptions may apply, including to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised. Choosing a standard model, colour or option does not by itself automatically exclude your rights.
Any other applicable statutory cooling-off, cancellation or return rights also remain available. Rights concerning faulty, unsafe or incorrectly supplied goods are separate from a change-of-mind return. Read this section together with our Refund Policy; neither policy limits mandatory consumer rights.
7. Distributor warranties and after-sales support
The commercial warranty supplied with each product is set out by the relevant brand distributor. The distributor arrangements are:
- Denago EV South Africa: Jetman Distributors
- Arctic Leopard: Jetman Distributors
- Kandi: All Power
- Apium: All Power
- Smart Cart: Platinum Wheels
Warranty periods, covered components, battery cover, servicing requirements and exclusions can differ between brands and models. The applicable written warranty must be read for the specific product; a warranty advertised for another model does not automatically apply. Ask us for the relevant warranty terms before ordering, and retain the warranty documents supplied with your cart.
For assistance, contact Fourbuy Cart Co. with your purchase details, model or serial number and a description of the issue. We will assist with the claim and liaise with the relevant distributor. Please follow the supplied operating, charging and maintenance instructions.
Distributor warranties are additional to your statutory rights. Where sections 55 and 56 of the CPA apply, goods that fail to meet the required quality standards may be returned within six months after delivery, without penalty and at the supplier’s risk and expense, with a repair, replacement or refund at the consumer’s direction, subject to the Act. A distributor’s warranty conditions or approval process do not remove our obligations as the supplier. Other rights and remedies under law remain available.
8. Privacy, website security and third parties
Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected and used. We use Shopify to host our online store. Purchases from Fourbuy Cart Co. are agreements with the company identified above; Shopify supplies the website platform.
We use reasonable measures to protect our website and transaction information and must meet applicable legal security requirements. If an account is available, keep its credentials confidential and notify us of suspected unauthorised use. Do not interfere with the website, upload malicious code, impersonate others or use it for unlawful activity.
Links to distributors, finance providers and other third-party services are provided for convenience. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to their services. This does not exclude any responsibility we have for our own representations or conduct.
9. Website content and errors
Website content, images, branding and designs belong to us or their respective owners. You may view the site and save information for your personal purchasing purposes. Other use requires the relevant rights or permission, except where permitted by law.
We take reasonable care with product information and prices. If an error is identified, we will correct it and contact affected customers where appropriate. Corrections do not give us an unrestricted right to change an accepted order or disregard any applicable pricing or consumer-protection obligation.
10. Responsibility and applicable law
Each party remains responsible for its obligations under the purchase agreement and applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, defective or unsafe goods where liability is imposed by law, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. We do not require you to waive statutory consumer protections.
These terms and purchases from us are governed by South African law. This does not remove any mandatory protection that applies to you or your right to approach a competent court, tribunal, regulator or ombud.
11. Questions and complaints
Please first contact us at dave@fourbuy.co.za or 084 881 9073, giving your order details and the resolution you are seeking.
If a complaint remains unresolved, you may approach the IDA for mediation. IDA contact details are available through its contact page. You may also use any applicable statutory complaint or dispute-resolution route. Contacting us or the IDA is not a waiver of those rights.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for future website use and purchases. The date above identifies this version. Changes do not retrospectively alter an accepted order without your agreement or a lawful basis. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
